A Random Post about Random Things...

This is what our road looks like in October.

This is a picture of Noah when he opened up his birthday gift from his favorite Aunty.

And this is what it was that he just opened... heh heh heh

She's great at finding perfect gifts like that... take this one for example...

Flea Tick
She's pretty funny, eh?

She gave them to me last year after I had just battled with the Fleas from Hades all summer! And of course, I think everyone knows how much I Love ticks... NOT!

And this is a picture of my knuckle that I just burnt on our woodstove...

That's because I don't know where my husband hid the gloves.

And this is a picture that I am going to get printed...

Cowboy painting 5x7

to put in this frame that came from the most Awesome store in the world!
I'll have to find another picture for the other side.

My sister did buy the frame for me so that makes up for the flea... I don't know if anything can make up for the tick though.

And this is a picture of Cheeks sitting in the leaves. I took it while taking our Family pictures.

Isn't he just the cutest thing?

And this is our new dining room set.

So we officially now have a dining room!

And this is a Random Rooster...

He is famous for making Lip Balm.

Tucker Tails...

A Day at the Dog Park

Just at that moment, Tucker had a late premonition that today was Not going to be a good day for the dog park...

... and that perhaps the cat had given him misleading directions and he should have veered ‘right’ instead of ‘left’ at the fork in the road…

…  which would mean... He was Not really at the Dog Park at all!
(hum your favorite suspense music here)

 Surrounded, and with limited options,
Tucker resorted to playing possum...

which was working well
until his giggling gave him away.

And then... just as things were looking rather grim...

Tucker surprised everyone by using his secret power...

...his Super *Happy-Eskimo* Butt Power to be exact!

(Heh heh heh...When Tucker laughs really hard it's - LMSH-EBO!)

And then... the tables began to turn in his favor...

♥♥ My Hero! ♥♥

Tune in again for the next adventure of Tucker Tales,
where Tucker unveils his alter ego secret weapon...

 *Black Belt Butt* Power!

Heh heh heh

And 'yes'... I'm expecting the men in the long white coats to be here shortly...

Magic Wings

This year for Noah's birthday we decided to go to a butterfly conservatory in South Deerfield, MA called Magic Wings.  It is very unique experience and if you have never gone to a butterfly conservatory before I do recommend doing so.

I would also recommend wearing light clothing if you do go, not light as in color but light as in weight like a short sleeved shirt, as it was very warm and humid in there, which I suppose should be expected as you are surrounded by tropical butterflies which live in such places that are warm and humid!

And if you really want the tropical effect you could wear a Hawaiian shirt and flip flops... I didn't see any rules about a dress code?
But you would have to leave your picnic lunch and lemonade at home... refer to rule #2

And I think we did pretty good at obeying the rules... well, most of them anyway... I occasionally pretended I didn't have any children to watch (#6) but that was only when they were running around (#3) going off the path (#4) chasing butterflies (#1) and picking flowers (#5)... Ü

You all know I'm joking right? of course you do...Well anyway, here is a little slideshow of our trip there... I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as we enjoyed being there!

How did we get here from there?

Aww crumb! It snowed today! Such a cruel joke for someone like me who is hoping to just skip the cold, wet, frozen, sloppy, slushy, gross and disgusting weather and go strait to Spring!

But... on the other side of the coin Mr. Noah has been so excited about our first earlier-than-ever snowfall and seeing his smiling face definately brings joy to my heart. So, I guess I can bear with this torture and smile also if it makes him so happy... I just hope he doesn't expect me to go out and build snowmen with him!

luckily he didn't ask me to go out except to take this picture! Ü

My original post today was to be about a warmer time, which was just a little over a week ago, when Hopey's family came to visit with us again.  It was such a lovely day then and the kids were having a great time running around playing together and their mom and I were kicking back relaxing and taking it all in... and of course I had my handy dandy camera in hand. And it's a good thing too cause if I didn't have the pictures to prove it, today I would be thinking it was all a very distant dream!

The first thing on the boys agenda was playing some tennis with a couple of used rackets I had just picked up at the thrift shop.

I think we had some budding tennis players here, well, except Kieran who I think at times may have been playing baseball instead of tennis... but regardless, tennis or baseball, they all had a blast while doing it.

My favorite 'funny' shots were these pics, notice where the ball is in all three... and Kieran's tongue!

Hehehehe!  These crack me up everytime I look at them!

And then my favorite tennis shots that are not funny, but are just super cute are these...

Then we decided to move around back to the wilder side of our property...

to the trampoline where it was reminiscient of a scene from a WWE Smackdown.

(And Kieran was KING! Ü)

Then there was horse watching...

and horse petting...

and pig watching...

and pig petting...

(Julie and Joy were having a bonding moment Ü)

And swing-set-swinging...

And not to be left out... Hopey playing!

And then... it came time for them to leave... heh heh heh... Okay, I won't mention the incident involving the tree or who it was that careened out of control and hit it while backing up and scared everybody half to death...*cough* *cough* Julie *cough* heh heh heh... but regardless of that nobody was hurt (including said tree!)  and they went merrily on their way.
But it was so nice having our good friends over for the day to enjoy the last of the warm weather with us and look forward to seeing them (and warm weather) again soon!

Until next time... love you guys!

And Mrs. Andretti
She was probably getting tips from Mario on proper backing up techniques.
